The abundance of vitamins including B-complex and C, calcium, bioactive enzymes and cytokinins make coconut water a strong fighter against aging, obesity, diarrhea and bone degeneration.Ĭoconut water is not to be confused with coconut milk. Much the same way athletes guzzle manmade beverages like Gatorade and physicians recommend drinks like Pedialyte for babies, natural coconut water is nature’s powerful balancing liquid. It has therefore amazed me to witness the grotesquely delayed reaction from all the health nuts and trend followers towards one of nature’s most powerful thirst quenchers.Īre all the rumors true about coconut water? Is it in fact as rich in antioxidants and nutrients as everybody claims? Well, yes there’s a reason why Asians and South Americans have been using this fruit in cooking and its raw format for consumption and topical beauty and health care for at least centuries, if not longer.Ĭoconut water contains electrolytes that help balance the body’s chi (energy) and in laymen terms, simply hydrates the body in an effective manner. I am after all, from Asia and since childhood have been drinking coconut water from fresh coconuts. Here are some of the healthiest high carb foods you can add to your diet.Harmless Harvest- The Best Coconut Water in America These carbohydrates are lower on the glycemic index, which means they fuel the body with sustained energy and keep blood sugars more stable, leading to better insulin sensitivity. Foods such as whole grains, organic fruits, organic starchy vegetables, and legumes provide carbohydrates and no added sugars. The key to maximizing the health benefits of carbohydrates is to choose high-quality sources of complex carbohydrates. Despite the bad reputation that they get from those individuals following a low-carb diet, such as Keto, Paleo, and the latest fad, the carnivore diet, many nutritionists, dietitians, and medical professionals believe that the right carbohydrates can - and should - be part of a healthy, well-balanced diet.Ĭarbohydrates provide energy to the cells in your body, especially during long and grueling training sessions, and fiber can help aid digestion and bowel regularity. Absinthes typically clock in between 50% and 70% alcohol by volume, so you're not going to want to fill a pint and go to town. The most important thing to know about absinthe is that it isn't a beginner's spirit. Perhaps it's time to let go of some of the mystery around the Green Fairy, however sexy that mystery is. Blame it on Oscar Wilde, Picasso, or Baz Luhrman, but whatever ideas you have about absinthe are probably false. After all, the reputation of this mysterious green drink is unparalleled by any other. Of course, the varying dramatic reactions could be due to many reasons. And even more still, particularly in the States, will be ready to spew uneducated judgment on a matter they know nothing of. Some may be shy or tentative, speaking of it as a toddler might sneak a trip to the cookie jar. Others may have a wild story or two about waking up on the shores of the Seine, with no memory of the past week. Mention absinthe in casual conversation and you'll likely get a mixed bag of reactions. It was something akin to rice pudding if you’re into that flavor. Along with the original Harmless Harvest coconut water and the Fair Trade Coffee coconut water, there’s also a Dark Cacao flavor, which actually satisfied our never-ending chocolate craving, and Cinnamon & Clove, which sounded peculiar to us at first - until we tried it. Trust us, it actually tastes amazing. Not only does it rehydrate, it gives you that badly needed energy boost that we all need from that lack of sleep. Justin Guilbert and Douglas Riboud - the guys behind one of our favorite coconut water brands, Harmless Harvest - are at it again, this time with the first 100 percent raw and organic coffee-infused coconut water on the market. Many major religions, such as Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Sunni, and Shia, are present in the game and can provide distinct bonuses to their practitioners. Combat can be waged on both land and sea, during which the game attempts to simulate real-world factors such as morale, discipline, varying unit types with associated strengths and weaknesses, competency of leaders, terrain, and supply lines. Espionage can also be employed against enemy states to claim their territory or incite rebellion in their provinces, along with other dubious ends.
